Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant, Finance Team

ALBI Homes is one of Canada’s Top 50 Small & Medium Employers of choice. ALBI Homes, a luxury home builder dedicated to uncompromising quality and craftsmanship for thirty four years in the Calgary housing market, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance Team.

Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Preparing and analyzing financial statements for several operating and investment companies
• Managing land inventories and ensuring all aspects of developer contracts are upheld
• Cash management including regular compliance reporting as required by banking agreements
• Assisting with implementation and improvement of a solid framework of internal controls
• Reconciling payroll and benefit expenditures
• Working in a team environment with others involved in financial planning, reporting and control systems at ALBI
• Working in a results driven organization with an ultimate focus on Customers
• Working on a wide variety of project within Finance and in assisting other departments in managing the business and activities of ALBI

The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience in intermediate and senior level accounting roles. Preference will be given to candidates working toward or have already attained a professional accounting designation. Experience in residential construction and an ERP systems environment will be considered assets but not as requirements.

Albi Homes Ltd., one of Calgary’s premier builders specializing in the luxury housing market, is seeking a Sales Associate to join its winning team.

This entry level position is designed to give the aspiring new homes sales professional the experience and training needed to pursue their career. As a Sales Associate you will receive training from the company and your Community Manager with the objective of learning and performing all the duties of the Community Manager.

Daily activities would include meeting and greeting the public, demonstrating homes, data base maintenance and marketing, attending sales meetings and training events. The successful candidate will be a serious individual with a focus on making a career decision.

Our culture is about values, opportunity and being the best you can be. This position is a full time commitment as a company employee with company benefits. Remuneration is salary based plus commissions. The hours of work are Monday to Thursday 2-8pm and Saturday/Sundays from 12-5pm.
